eSIM is short for Embedded Subscriber Identity Module, or Embedded SIM. Rather than using a physical SIM Card, manufacturers can activate a mobile phone through the on-board SIM Card that was installed on the mobile phone during the manufacturing process. eSIM Cards save businesses and users time and effort in switching between physical wireless service carriers. eSIM cards have provided many phones with the ability to use multiple wireless networks at once on one device.
