The VOIP Guru ("The VOIP Guru," "we," "us," or "our"), powered by TVG Tech, is an independent VoIP and business-phone buying advisor. We help businesses compare providers and find the right phone system — and the vendor pays us, not you. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to thevoipguru.com and the forms and tools on it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly when you ask us to help, and a limited amount of information automatically when you use the site.

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide:

• Name
• Company
• Work email address
• Phone number
• Number of users / extensions
• Current phone provider
• What's prompting your switch (the reason you select)
• Your message

VoIP Cost Calculator

When you use our VoIP Cost Calculator and request your results, we collect the inputs you enter:

• Name and email address
• Phone number
• Company
• Current phone provider
• Number of users
• Your current monthly phone bill
• The key features you need

Along with those inputs, we generate and retain the estimated savings the calculator computes for you — your estimated new monthly cost, monthly savings, annual savings, and three-year savings. These figures are estimates, not quotes.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our analytics providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit — for example your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the links you click, referring URLs, and similar usage data. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies and Tracking" below).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and follow up about your phone-system needs.
• Research and prepare independent vendor comparisons on your behalf.
• Send you the savings report you request from the cost calculator.
• Schedule and prepare for discovery calls and consultations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to provide our service and run the site, with providers who act on our behalf:

• HubSpot — our CRM and lead-management platform. Contact form and calculator submissions, including the computed savings figures, are stored in HubSpot so we can follow up. We also run HubSpot's website tracking and live-chat script on every page, which records your visits and any chat conversation you start. HubSpot processes this data as our service provider.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Google's analytics service, used to measure site traffic and engagement.
• Meta (Facebook) pixel — used to measure the performance of our advertising and reach relevant audiences.
• Google Ads — used to measure which of our ads lead to a booked call, a form submission, or a phone call, including by showing visitors who arrive from one of our ads a Google forwarding number that connects to our line.
• Email and hosting providers — used to deliver your requested report and to host this website.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies — including Google Analytics 4, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, and HubSpot's tracking and live-chat script — to understand how the site is used and to measure our marketing. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you have additional opt-out options:

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide the comparison and advisory service you asked for, and meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see "Your Rights" below.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request — including access or deletion — email us at info@tvgtech.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law. You can also unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message we send you.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
