POTs stands for Plain Old Telephone Service. POTs phone lines are old-fashioned copper wires connected to a standard telephone that provide power and connectivity to an analog phone system. Plain Old Telephone Service, or POTS, is a term which describes the voice-grade telephone service that provides the basic form telephone communication to most parts of the world.
